Can I get this sweet tooth pulled, PLEASE?? Time to try ZC!

So I have been 8 months living an extremely low carb, sugar free (LCSF) lifestyle.  I have lost around 70 pounds.  I feel better than I ever have.  So, why the heck do I still crave sweets!?!!?

I was so strict and regimented the first month or two I started this lifestyle.  I was GOOD!!  I had nothing with any kind of carbohydrate or sugar.  I had vegetables, but they didn't count because I never really liked veggies anyway. I even avoided sugar free alternatives.  I was over two months into this lifestyle when I finally binged on sugar free jello.  Oh how I had missed sweet stuff!

Well, reflecting now, I see that jello was the beginning of a dangerous downward spiral.  I began cooking, baking, and testing out dessert options.  I have created some pretty awesome desserts that are sugar free and extremely low carb.  Cream pies, chocolate chip cookies, cheesecake, chocolate chip mug cakes, oh my!!  Really tasty stuff, fitting into the LCSF lifestyle.  WIN, WIN, right??

UMMMM, WRONG!!!  I started this lifestyle because I knew I was addicted to sugars.  I craved carbohydrates, I hid junk food, I would sneak McDonald's, I was out of control!!   Even though I am maintaining and still very slowly still losing weight, I am feeling out of control again.  I feel the cravings calling.  I keep the carbs and calories low during the day just so I can have dessert every single night.  But, lately that one dessert isn't enough.  It is leading to wanting more, more, more... out of control. UGH... why does this have to be so hard?!?!

Repeat after me: I AM IN CONTROL, NOT THE FOOD!!  Time to remove that sweet tooth!!  Wouldn't it be easy to just go to the dentist and have it pulled?!?!  Well, since that isn't an option, I guess I better take care of it myself.

Time to go NEANDERTHAL!!  Just like an alcoholic can not handle one beer, a drug addict can not handle one hit, a sugar junkie can not handle sugar AT ALL or sugar alternatives!!  So, time to try to adjust the LCSF to ZC.  Say what?!?!?!

Zero carb is actually a pretty easy option.  ZC is a zero carbohydrate diet. ZERO, ziltch, nada, none!! Best part, no counting the carbs, just a list of YES foods.  Animal based foods only!  I found out the Eskimos are among many that actually follow this plan and thrive on it.  Meats, eggs, dairy FOODS are all OK.  And of course, all of the fat that comes from animals, butter, are also awesome!!  Emphasis on FOOD because the foods are ok, but not the drinks.  No milk...

This farm girl is one happy little camper hearing about this!!  So, you mean I can have a big 'ol bacon cheeseburger without a bun, sausage and cheese omelet, and chicken with ham and cheese and the skin if I want it??  Yep!!  And even better, I eat as much as I want until I am full.  I don't have to count the calories.

So what about 'Keto on Roids' plan??  So if you have been following me, I have shared a one week eating plan that is LCSF and is what I ate to get to where I am now.  It worked for me!!  It has worked for others that have followed it.  But for me, I need to do another 'detox'.  Need to get rid of the sugar wannabes!
cheesy baked anything!!  mmm, cheese

My detox plan is to do one month of ZC, drinking only water, tea, coffee.  I need to break off the sugar alternatives, so back to strict eating for a while.  No reason to wait another day, so I guess, here is to STRICT SEPTEMBER plus today!

Today is DAY 1, Stay tuned.. I will keep you all updated!
