Zero Carb, One week reflection...

Day 1 (Friday, August 31, 2018)-- Well I caved!!  Beginning weight XX2.4   4,500 steps

Omelets for 2 main meals, snacked on string cheese and hard boiled eggs.  Evening cravings were too much.  I had a stevia added cheesecake and a non stevia added cheesecake.  Then I made a tablespoon of coconut oil, 2 tablespoons of PBFit powder, sugar free chocolate chips and some peanuts.  RGGGGHHH

I was home with sick kids, so was able to actually cook meals and I still caved.

Day 2 (Saturday, September 1, 2018)  Successful day!!  Weight XX1.2  (down 1.2 pounds) 5,800 steps

Egg casserole for breakfast, I had 2 servings.  Would be about 600 calories, but zero carbs.  Full of eggs, sausage, bacon and cheese.  I make the casserole ahead of time so the kids can have a healthy breakfast before school.  It is portioned out in the fridge and they can reheat up their portion.

I wasn't hungry until about 2pm!  I had a bigger breakfast than normal, so that didn't surprise me.  I had a 3 egg omelet with diced ham and cheese, cooked up in butter!  Yum!!  Ever since I tried the egg fast this summer, I have really be loving omelets.  But, unlike the egg fast, I am adding meats to the omelet.

Family dinner!!  Grilled meat!!!  YUMMM.  I had a hamburger with a piece of cheese and bacon, plus 2 brat links.  I snacked on some cheese chunks for appetizers.  I had a drink before dinner, didn't even think about it, and figured a Smirnoff would be lower carbs... well, I probably chose wrong.  It was tasty, but I stuck with just one.

Day 3 (Sunday, September 2, 2018)   Pretty much on track. Weight XX8.6  (down 3.8)  7.800 steps

Breakfast was a 4 egg omelet with ham and cheese. Lunch was another omelet with ham and cheese.  I also had a grilled cheese made from cloud bread and cheese.  For dinner, 2 hamburger patties and cheese.  A lot of baking today, might have done a few too many BLT's (bites, licks, tastes).  I am full.  I even think I am eating too much.

One thing that is difficult, allowing someone who for years would over indulge, the power to eat until they are full.  I was about half done with a hamburger patty at dinner tonight, realized I was probably full, but finished it anyway.  I really need to work on stopping when I'm full and NOT finishing everything on my plate.

Day 4 (Monday, September 3, 2018)  Oops, dangit!  Weight XX7.6 (down 4.8)   steps

Seriously, how the heck is this working??  I feel like I am eating WAY more than normal, I feel fuller than ever before, and am consuming more calories than usual.  Well, let me answer my own question... it's the nasty devil sugar and carbohydrates.  Holy COW they mess with my body!!  (I am not a doctor, I am just on a journey trying to be healthier and lose weight, this is what I have found for me.  But, yes, I have talked to my doctor, all of my blood work is amazing and the doctor approves.)

I do want to be totally honest, I had gained back a few pounds since I started back to work a few weeks ago. I don't know if it matters, but I am now just 2 pounds from my lowest.  I am excited to see improvement, but until I have officially lost more than my best, I am still hesitant to be over the moon excited. But, if things continue as they have, I will be doing a happy dance in no time!

Breakfast was another 4 egg omelet with ham and cheese.  Lunch was just 3 hard boiled eggs and a string cheese.  Then, I had to make frosting for some banana bars.  Well, I had to try one, or two, of the bars!!  Did I ever mention I am are really good baker... yummmmm!!

Day 5 (Tuesday, September 4, 2018) Back to reality! Weight XX8.6 (3.8 down) 6,700 steps

I don't know if it matters, but back to work today.  I had to weigh in about 3 hours earlier than the first 4 days of the challenge.  Don't know if that is part of the pound difference, or if it is those dang banana bars!!  Either way, up a little to start the day!

Started the day with an egg casserole with sausage, bacon, cheese and a dab of salsa.  Through the day munched on 4 hard boiled eggs and a string cheese.  Dinner was pizza burgers on cloud bread, ground beef, a little pizza sauce and cheese.  Zero Carbs,..... well, then there was 4 banana bars, 2 scotcheroos and a bowl of sugar free chocolate chips, nuts and coconut oil pbfit peanut butter.  Can you say BINGE!! It was the animal urges for junk yesterday!!!  I have GOT to shake the sugar cravings.  I caved again, dang it!!  Ok, strict September is not doing so hot. Time to reset!

Day 6  (Wednesday, September 5, 2018)  DAM YOU SUGAR!!! Weight XX2.2 (down 0.2) 7,200 steps

Way up today, major binge, now time to focus and reset!

Day 7 (Thursday, September 6, 2018)  ?????   METALLICA CONCERT!!!  Pizza, beer, woohooooo  

I was awesome at work, then not so hot at and after the concert.  So much for that reset button.


Day 8 (Friday, September 7, 2018)  ???  OMG, FEED MY HANGOVER!!! 

Well, another failure.... Went out to Cracker Barrel for brunch after the concert.... Well, eggs, breakfast bacon and sausage.... and pancakes, baked apples... I don't care too much, I need food after drinking!

Well, I SUCK!!!  ZC will do what I need.  After 4 days I was down 5 pounds, and then after 4 more days I have probably gained it all back and then some!  Strict September will actually begin TOMORROW, September 8th.  I just made a lot of excuses this week.  My work schedule is a pain to eat around. 

I am DONE!!  I promise!!  I want you to know how ZC works, so I will behave to make sure I can report how it is going!!
